Emily Carter

Speech-Language Pathologist

Emily is originally from Jacksonville, Florida. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from University of Central Florida in 2023 and a master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Jacksonville University in 2026. Emily is currently completing her clinical fellowship year in speech-language pathology. She has experience working in public schools, outpatient clinics, and acute adult hospital settings. She enjoys working with patients from birth to geriatrics and has served individuals with diagnoses including but not limited to: Autism, Down Syndrome, Developmental Delay, Articulation Disorder, Fluency Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury, Head and Neck Cancer, Dysphagia, and Aphasia. Emily strives to empower clients to reach their fullest communication potential by providing individualized, evidence-based interventions tailored to their unique needs. Her goal is to create meaningful and functional communication skills that enhance each client’s quality of life, participation, and confidence.
Outside of work, Emily enjoys reading, walking/hiking trails, and spending time with her cat!
