Ashlyn McIver is a dedicated and skilled professional with a passion for fostering effective communication in children. Born and raised in Durham, North Carolina. Ashlyn’s journey in the field of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology began at North Carolina A&T State University. In May 2020, she proudly earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in speech language pathology and audiology, setting the foundation for her impactful career. Building on her academic achievements, Ashlyn pursued further specialization at Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute, earning an Associate Degree as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in May of 2021. During her time at Caldwell, she completed 272 clinical hours, honing her practical skills and preparing for a hands-on role in her chosen field. She has amassed valuable experience across various settings.
Her expertise extends to charter and public schools, home health, daycares/PreK, clinic settings, and teletherapy services. Notably, Ashlyn’s proficiency extends to working with children aged 18 months to 22 years, showcasing her versatility and adaptability. Her commitment to making a positive impact on children’s lives was evident during her internship at Pearce Elementary in Greensboro, NC, in August 2019. Here, Ashlyn curated observations on children with specific speech deficiencies, providing crucial insights for ongoing research. She actively collaborated with speech pathologists, contributing to their efforts and reporting network performance status.

Off duty, Ashlyn can be found exploring her artistic side, enjoying the vibrant cultural scene, or engaging in activities that contribute to her personal and professional development.
