Anna Salargo

Educational Specialist and Group Leader

Anna is a licensed educator with a deep commitment to helping children grow into confident, capable, and connected individuals. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Colgate University and a master’s degree in Elementary Inclusive Education and Teaching Students with Disabilities from Teachers College, Columbia University. With
over five years of classroom teaching experience and a strong foundation in special education, Anna brings a thoughtful, research-informed perspective to her work with children and families.

She is especially passionate about social-emotional learning, executive functioning, and early literacy. Guided by the belief that “people do well if they can, Anna approaches challenges with curiosity and compassion, working to uncover and address the underlying skills a child may need support in developing. Her teaching philosophy is
grounded in inclusivity, cultural responsiveness, and a strengths-based mindset. She uses a range of evidence-based strategies to help children build social and emotional skills, including explicit instruction, social stories, multisensory learning, and collaborative problem-solving. Anna emphasizes building intrinsic motivation and authentic relationships, creating spaces where children feel safe, seen, and empowered.

She is excited to be part of the BTS team and to help shape the social skills program in a setting that supports creativity and growth. Drawing on her background in both teaching and coaching, Anna designs engaging and intentional learning experiences that meet each child’s unique needs. Originally from Connecticut, Anna moved to Holly Springs in 2021 with her husband and two young children. Her family life is filled with outdoor adventures, music, cooking, and making joyful memories together.
